    Last Updated

A couple of weeks ago, Hyundai officially released the first design sketches of the next-gen. elite i20 hatchback and now the production-spec model images are leaked online, ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show and going viral over the internet.

The new-look confirms that the new-generation elite i20 will be in a sporty design with an aggressive look in the front with LED DRL-lined headlights and the large diamond finish grille and new dual-tone alloy wheels. The taillights come with angular Z-shaped LED elements, a faux diffuser and dual-tone black roof which we have already seen in TATA Altroz.

Under the hood, it is expected to get a BS6 compliant engine option such as 1.2-litre petrol (83PS/114Nm), 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (120PS/173Nm), and a detuned version of the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The least powerful engine is expected to be offered with a 5-speed MT and CVT. Meanwhile, the diesel and the turbo-petrol engine are offered with a 6-speed manual. The turbo-petrol is likely to get a 7-speed DCT auto option.
